I often find myself lost in memories of my childhood in South Africa, where the wild called to me. One moment stands out: a leopard perched in a gnarled tree, watching the world with an air of calm assurance.

It was a reminder that everything could be alright. Years passed, and the ache to reconnect with those majestic creatures grew stronger. Inspired by that longing, I envisioned a collection of big cats from around the world. Each stroke of my digital brush would blend photography and painting, revealing the hidden beauty within these enigmatic beings.

Among them, the panther emerged as my muse—a creature cloaked in darkness and mystery. As I painted, I felt its strength resonate within me. The panther became more than just an image; it symbolised resilience, a reflection of my own struggles with depression.

Through this collection, I discovered a path to healing. The strength of these big cats inspired awe and ignited a spark of inspiration within me. I hoped viewers would see themselves in that panther—powerful yet mysterious—reminded that even in solitude, we can find our strength.
